Dee-1’s viral video, “Sallie Mae Back” perfectly captures the reason why providing students with the necessary knowledge, guidance, and resources for a debt-free graduation is extremely important.

The New Orleans born rapper asks, “is it $40,000, $50,000, $60,000 dollars, or maybe it’s more? Is it $80,000, $90,000, $100,000, how much do you owe her?” Trust me, owing 40 to 100 thousand dollars in student loans is crippling and can prevent you from pursuing your passions after graduation. Stick around and don’t go down that path. Ladies and gentlemen, if you’re a current or soon-to-be college student, the Student Debt Prevention Movement is your guide to freedom after graduation. I created this blog and community to make sure college students won’t have to be singing/rapping about “paying Sallie Mae back” after they get their degree. Enjoy the video!
